We welcomed back Connie Croly to our meeting.  Connie always has such wonderful stories to tell us from her experiences of serving in the Salvation Army.  She has such a heart for people too and inspires all of us to ‘stand up, stand up for Jesus!’

Connie’s thought were very much based around the Easter story and our response to the resurrection of our Lord. We serve a risen Saviour and God wants to use each one of us. He will give us the strength we need to fulfil His commission – to go into all the world (or that bit of the world where God has placed us), to share the good news and share His love. We were reminded to hold onto what is precious, that we are on the winning side and know that we are not alone – He is with us always!

So, let’s get closer to Him and ask God to give us a heart of compassion and care for others.
