Our Harvest Family Service which will include a Bring Your Own lunch is set for Sunday, 26th September at 10.30am in the Woodingdean CP School hall.

Once again, we are looking to support the Brighton Food Bank run by our friends at the Brighton & Hove City Mission and there is an opportunity for you to bring along items to the service.

BHCM have sent over a very helpful list of the things that they particularly need:

DBC Community Greengrocers in Warren Way has a large collection basket in the shop where donations can be taken if you would like to support this valuable work in our city but are unable to get to our service of thanksgiving on the 26th.

Please do ensure that your items are in date and that they contain no alcohol. Thank you kindly.

A prayer for the autumn season:

Heavenly Father, as we begin to think of harvest, we thank you for all the good things you give us. As we thank you for our food and your abundant provision, we remember all those who do not have enough for even one proper meal each day. Lord, comfort and bless all those who suffer because of the greed of others.   Thank you too for the work of the Brighton & Hove City Mission.  Please use the team mightily in these days and bless all of the clients who use their Food Bank. In Jesus’s name, amen.
