What a super family service we had! We had a bit of everything!
The children performed a special set of songs and they were really excellent. Well done to our young soloists and percussionists. Thank you Linn for leading them so well.
We had Bible stories, action songs and fun experiments which everyone enjoyed doing.
The best one was where Malcolm gave each table two eggs. He said that one was hard- boiled and the other was just an ordinary egg. One egg had an even number on it and the other an odd number. Each table had to try and work out which egg was which and Malcolm took us through a series of experiments to help us decide.
Malcolm told us that knowing what something is like on the inside can be difficult to know. People can be like that also! People may look ok on the outside but there could be evil and mischief in their hearts. God can see all and He knows what we are really like. Malcolm read the story of Samuel who was told by God to anoint one of Jesse’s sons as King. It’s a great story in 1 Samuel 16:1-13.
We should not judge others by the way they look. Samuel did!
“The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7b
Our all-age services are great fun for all the family and last about an hour.
Look out for the next one and come and join us.
