2009 Men's Weekend?
Several people have said "What are people from a church doing going on a Men's Weekend?" imagining scenes of lap dancing and booze.
We met together at Knowles Tooth Residential Centre for our third annual time for developing friendship, fellowship, fun and teaching together from 16th - 18th October. (The centre is run by the Chichester Diocese for Family Support Work. http://www.familysupportwork.org.uk/content.php?folder_id=12
We had fun learning together about putting on the whole armour of God (see Ephesians 6) led by Andy and a short study on Titus led by our Youth Worker Sean.
We also had an encouraging visit from Chris Jarvis who leads the Kidz Klub work in Brighton and Hove http://www.kidzklubbrighton.co.uk and from JB and Mattias from Ellel International Ministries, based at Glyndley Manor, Stone Cross, Sussex http://www.ellelministries.org/uk/about/ellel-glyndley-manor.
The food was full on and we needed to use up our energy in the beautiful grounds.
We finished with a Communion and healing time.
