What a super, fun time we had on Woodingdean CP School’s playing field and in the hall for our annual Fun Day. It was a very warm day, a bit overcast with a slight cooling breeze which was just perfect. It was good to see some new people pop along to join in and see what we are all about.

Pastor Malcolm led three mini service slots at 10.30am, 12 noon and 2pm and took us through the story of Jonah which the children loved. Malcolm reminded us that no one is beyond God’s love and mercy if they are really sorry for the wrong things they have done.

Malcolm showed us once again what a “cool” minister he is by quite literally “playing with fire.” To see a short clip of Malcolm juggling with fire – head to our Facebook page :-https://www.facebook.com/Downs-Baptist-Church-Woodingdean-237238972960658/

We were able to enjoy an excellent BBQ superbly cooked by Gareth Woolcott, Peter Millis ably assisted by Nicky Millis – Thank you!

The children had lots of things to entertain them.  The bouncy castle is always popular so are the craft tables. With freshly made pop corn, homemade cakes and copious cups of tea and coffee, there was something for everyone.

Well there are 7 pairs of shoes all lined up neatly but all of the children had disappeared leaving this little one to have a “whale” of a time on her own!

Here is one of our new guests flexing his muscles at the strongman mallet challenge. He was very good!

A new Mum trying her hand  at tie and dying a t shirt.

Fellowship, food and fun!
